Notice period requirements in UAE: Under UAE Labor Law, the minimum notice period is 30 days for employees with less than 5 years service, 60 days for 5-10 years service, and 90 days for over 10 years service. During probation, a minimum 14-day notice is required. Both employer and employee must adhere to these periods unless mutually agreed otherwise in writing. If either party fails to provide proper notice, they must pay compensation equal to the salary for the remaining notice period. Limited contracts converted to unlimited after February 2022 follow the same notice requirements. Certain serious violations by either party may permit termination without notice as specified in Articles 44 and 45 of the Labor Law. Notice periods begin the day after written notice is provided.
